Critiques are tough

I've been in the process of sending in my work to be critiqued. The feedback have been tough, so I"m back to square one in re-vamping my work. I got lots of advice, as not everyone agreed on what the initial story is about, so I am submitting the original manuscript for feedback. Hopefully this will go smoother. If not, I'll just check into self-publishing it myself. I still believe in my work, about the content, and you can't please everybody. Today, at home, we watched the movie with Will Smith in it, called The Pursuit of Happyness. This guy went through hell persuing his dream to make a better living for himself and his kid. One very good point he made is to not give up on your own persuits of happiness. My stories are my happyness. So I will go out and do my own thing. Maybe it will get some good attention and if I do become successful, I sure would love to throw it into the faces of those that quibbled about this and that in my content. You got to stand up in what you believed, so I'm working deligently to improve my work. If anyone who happens to read this blog would like a sample of it, please contact me. I'll be glad to send some sample chapters for your own critique.
